Nominate a Graduate Worker for our Bargaining Committee

Do know someone (maybe it’s you!) who is ready to make a lasting, positive impact on the graduate work experience at Georgetown?

Nominate a graduate worker for GAGE’s Bargaining Committee.

“As a member of the bargaining team, I have the very cool responsibility of negotiating a contract that will impact current and future generations of Georgetown grads. All of the issues we've been organizing around as a union for the past few years-- health care, better pay, and workplace protections -- are on the table, and now is the time to make real change!”

-Marya Hannun, Islamic Studies PhD student-worker

Our negotiations with the university are strongest when our Bargaining Committee reflects the diversity of graduate experiences at Georgetown. We have noticed that we especially need the voices of international graduate students, parents, Masters students, and Science and Med campus research assistants, but as always, all perspectives are powerful in our union.

We are accepting nominations for the Bargaining Committee until 5 PM on Sunday, October 13, 2019.The Election Committee contacts all nominees to verify GAGE membership status and whether they accept their nomination as candidates for the Bargaining Committee.

In Solidarity,

Kathryn Sanchez, Ray Kim, and Cory Young
